In February 2017 His Holiness Pope Francis paid a pastoral visit to the Anglican Church of All Saints situated within his diocese of Rome. It was the first occasion that any pope had visited an ordinary Anglican parish community, and the liturgical focus was the blessing of this icon of the Saviour which was commissioned by the parish for the occasion.
